These Tomei stroker engine blocks are meticulously checked and assembled by Tomei themselves. The engines are designed with large power builds in mind but also to withstand motorsport type usage.
The 3.1 stroker engne helps keep the original feel of the 2Jz while the 3.6 kit makes it possible to create a high response engine with a wide torque band that can easily handle a larger single turbine.
Each engine goes through 12 stages while being built.
1: Surface correction and machining
2: Torque plate installed
3: Crosshatch cylinder honing
4: Plateau cylinder honing
5: Piston to cylinder wall clearance check
6: Block debur and clean up
7: Machine washing
8: Piston and con rod weight matching
9: Crankshaft dynamically balanced
10: Crankshaft and con rod bearing clearance setting
11: Piston rings gapped
12: Final assembly
